Free To Be + Timer Apps Question

June 17, 2013

Last week Jack and I did a little session outdoors. He was begging me to take some pictures and what kind of sister would I be to deny him? Since I lost the charger to our actual camera, we've been at a loss for how to take pictures hands free, so we tried the Timer Cam App. I'm a bit on the fence with the app. I liked how easy to use it was, that you could delay a picture up to 30 seconds and I liked that it gave you the sounds when it was counting down.

My only annoyances were that it made you approve or trash the photo it took before being able to take another, instead of automatically saving to the camera roll. Though this may be a handy option for some, it only slowed Jack and I down. It was sunny, so I couldn't exactly see the screen well enough to judge the picture and it took up valuable time. Do you know how hard it is to get a three year old to focus? Haha. I feel like you should be able to turn that feature on and off. Also, my other qualm was with the photo quality. It wasn't exactly where I wanted it to be once I got it on the computer or on VSCO to play around with edits.

With that being said, anyone have suggestions to other timer apps out there for us to give a try?

Despite the camera situation, we had a blast. Jack and I love taking pictures as brother and sister, though this isn't exactly Bro + Sis Style. I mean, Jack wouldn't even put on pants. Jack isn't exactly a fan of pants unless we're in public. Needless to say we are related. I wore one of my favorite shirts that I bought from Kara almost two years ago and a pair of high waisted cut offs that I fashioned from a pair of mom jeans I found at Goodwill.

I enjoy summer time for these types of afternoons with my favorite person.

Happy Day.
