Business Casual

August 01, 2013

Uhm, hello August...fancy seeing you here so soon?

I don't do many fashion related posts around these parts, well not as many as I feel like I could do. Since my time at home with my main man Jack, is drawing to a close I thought we'd really try to get a few of those precious posts in! So, rest assured, knowing that Jack and I's goofing coordinating outfits will continue on here in the next few weeks.

I wore this outfit to church Sunday and really liked it. Normally, I try and wear a dress to church, but I just wasn't feeling it this past week, so I delved into the depths of my closet. None of these pieces are particularly new, but I had never put together this look before. Sometimes it's fun to shop your closet and wear old things in new ways.  In this outfit, I felt exceptionally put together - which if you know me is not exactly the norm. I'm a pretty casual type of lady, so this ensemble made me feel pretty fancy.

After further reflection I dubbed it my favorite 'business casual' look and will probably be sporting many times again in the future because it's exceptionally versatile. To dress it up further, you could add a black pencil skirt and a classic black shoe. To dress it down, all you need is a pain of jean shorts and some nude sandals!

Also, the best part was that I finally got in my Arc Midi ring from Moorea Seal's curated retail shop. It's quickly becoming my new favorite piece of jewelry!

Hope you're having a great week so far!
